A New Reach in Religious and Theological Education.

A doctorate is an academic degree of the highest level.  The award of a doctorate implies recognition of the candidate as an equal by the university Board of Trustees.  There are essentially three types of doctorates: research, first-professional and honorary.  Possession of both a bachelor's and master's degree is required in order to begin a doctorate degree program.

Doctorate of Religion and Phenomenology (Ph. Dr.)

The Master of Divinity Program is unique in design.  Entrance into the Program will be condition on review of academic standings with other colleges and seminaries.  In the alternative, those students meeting all requirements within ARS, BRS, M.Div., and demonstrated independent assignment will upon the review by the Board of Trustees receive the Doctorate of Divinity Degree (D.D.)

Master of Divinity (M.Div)

An undergraduate religious studies degree is awarded upon completion of a course of study containing at least 120 credit hours.  It is also called a baccalaureate.  Possession of a high school diploma or GED is required in order to begin a bachelor's degree program.  (An associate's degree is not required in order to  pursue a bachelor's degree.)

Bachelors in Religious Studies (BRS)

An undergraduate religious studies degree that is at the beginning of the hierarchy of academic degrees offered.  It is awarded upon completion of a course of study containing at least sixty credit hours.  Possession of a high school diploma or GED is required in order to begin an associate's degree program.

Associate in Religious Studies (ARS)

Diploma and certificate programs are for students looking to increase their knowledge and receive recongnition for their studies.
